David Paul Strubin, 83, of Manchester, passed away peacefully at home on April 20, 2023 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. Born January 9, 1940 in Baltimore City. He was the son of the late Anthony Strubin and
Florence Fitzhugh. He was the husband of the late Lavon L. Strubin; they were married for 59 years. Surviving are his children Kim Wengert and husband David, Kelly Leonardi and husband Larry, and Kerry Shortall and husband Drew; two grandsons, Zachary Leonardi and wife Tracey, and Nicholas Leonardi; and great-granddaughter Abigail Leonardi (that little girl). David served in the Army as a clerk at Ft. Bragg during the Vietnam War. He drove dump trucks with Gray & Son for over forty years before retirement. David was a hard-working family man. In his free time he was an avid collector of all things history, and loved to share his passions with those willing to listen. Service will be held at Eline Funeral Home, Hampstead, MD on Monday, April 24,2023 at 1:00 PM. Interment will be at Hampstead Cemetery following the service.
