On Tuesday, March 22, 20222, David passed away peacefully while he was sleeping. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Linda Hayes; son William Hayes and significant other, Kari; son Lt. Col. Brian Hayes and his wife, Missi; and daughter, Jessica Smith. Loving GD to Kyleigh Hayes, Timothy Hayes and Paris Kingan. He is also survived by his mother, Elizabeth Hayes; brothers, Thomas, Richard, Wayne and Michael Hayes and their families. He was predeceased by his father, Francis Hayes.
David’s passion for the past six years was surf fishing and sitting on the balcony of his home in Ormond Beach, FL watching the ocean and all the activities it has to offer. Before his wife and he moved, David loved spending his time hunting with Bill and all his “hunting family”.
A visitation will be Tuesday, March 29 from 3-5 pm and 7-9 pm with a funeral service on Wednesday, March 30 at 10:00 at Eline’s Funeral Home 11824 Reisterstown Road, Reisterstown, MD 21136.
In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
