Obituary for Darren Terrell Benbow

Darren Terrell Benbow, son of Dora M. Benbow and the late Aaron Benbow, was born June 13, 1965 at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland, he departed this life on March 19, 2022. Darren receive his education at North Carroll High School in Hampstead, Maryland. In 1984, Darren ran the 110 Hurdles and the Long Jump in the Carroll County Championships. He enjoyed hanging out with his friends and meeting new people. Darren was a people person and loved to eat, especially ice cream. Darren was employed at Hahn’s Brothers in Westminster, Maryland. He was a hard worker everywhere he was employed, and friends alike have always talked in glowing terms of his willingness to help anyone who needed help.

At an early age Darren attended Refuge Way of the Cross Church, Baltimore, Maryland where he was Baptized under the leadership of Bishop Leroy H. Cannady, Sr. He was a kind-hearted, fun-loving and a joyful person who loved his family and friends unquestionably.

He was preceded by his father Aaron Benbow. He leaves to cherish his memory, his mother Dora M. (Newman) Benbow, five sisters, Loretta Burnham (her husband Larry), Harriett Bellerby (her husband Harry), Alneatha Benbow, Alfreda Slaughter, Violetta Benbow, five nephews; LaSean (his wife Katera), Lance and Leland Burnham, Chaz Bellerby and Cameron Slaughter, five nieces; Brittney Benbow, Alexis and Alexa Slaughter, RaQuel Bellerby, Bria Powell and one great niece Aamir Horrey, a host of aunts, cousins, an uncle and friends.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Eline Funeral Home, Reisterstown. The family will accept friends for a visitation held Saturday, April 2nd, 2022 from 11 am - 12 pm at Eline Funeral Home, 11824 Reisterstown Rd. Reisterstown, MD 21136. A funeral service will begin at 12 pm.
