Obituary for Ida Mae Cunningham (Gill)

Ida Mae Cunningham, 87 of Reisterstown passed away on January 8, 2015 at Longview Nursing Home, Manchester. She was born on February 22, 1927 in Woodensburg, MD to the late Vernon W. Gill, Sr. and Katherine Fox Gill. She was married to the late John G. Cunningham, Jr.
Her family and her church were her most important parts of her life. She was a life member of Mt. Gilead United Methodist Church and was on their Cradle Roll. She played the organ and sang in the church choir for over 57 years. She was a homemaker and the family historian, always preserving the family history through various media. Her hobbies included cross stitch, flower arranging and crafting.
She is survived by her son Stephan C. and his wife Pamela N. Cunningham of Hampstead; grandchildren Kevin A. Cunningham of Woodensburg and Craig John Cunningham of Houston, TX; nephew Dennis Gill of Westminster; nieces Diane Gill Nichols of Hanover, PA, Cindy Newton of Woodensburg, Debbie Harriman of Crozet, VA and Jackie Lemon of Salisbury. Predeceased by brother Vernon W. Gill, Jr.
Family will receive friends at the Eline Funeral Home, 11824 Reisterstown Road, Reisterstown, MD on Tuesday 3-5 & 7-9pm. Service will be held on Wednesday 11am at the funeral home. Interment in Mt. Gilead Cemetery. Online condolences may be made at www.ElineFuneralHome.com
