Obituary for Richard Cromwell "Dickie" Kemp

Richard Cromwell "Dickie" Kemp
Richard Cromwell Kemp, “Dickie” was the life of the party! He will be missed. He was a devoted husband to Christina Ford Buchwald Kemp of 46 years. Married at the age of 26 at St. Mary’s Govens on June 10, 1972.
He was a loving and patient father to Jennifer Cromwell Garmer and the late Jason Ford Kemp. He always had time to be a supportive father. He never once let us down.
Richard was a dedicated employee of University of Maryland working for over 33 years. He worked his way up from a maintenance mechanic to a plumber specialist prior to his retirement in 2010.
Richard enjoyed hunting and fishing. He could fix anything! He always made himself available to help anyone in need. He loved to travel the world with his wife. He has been on more than 40 cruises around the world and made friends wherever he went. He is survived by friends all over from Florida to Brisbane Australia.
He was a devoted and playful pop pop to Nicholas and Elizabeth “Izzy” Garmer. He enjoyed watching his grandchildren win the Hampstead little league championship this past spring.
Always loved, the memories that we have of him will be cherished. “First tonight”
