Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of John Turner can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Obituary for John Dennis Turner

John Dennis  Turner
John Dennis Turner, 74, of Hampstead, passed away on Sunday, February 25, 2018 at Carroll Hospital Center, Westminster, MD. Born July 16, 1943 in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Robert and Ruth (Meyers) Turner. He was the beloved husband of Susan (Patrick) Turner.

He was a graduate of St. Paul's School and Frostburg College and served in the Army in Viet Nam. He was a member of Westminster VFW Post 467 and the American Legion; Life member Reserve Officers Association of the U.S.; National Rifle Association. He was an avid drag racer at Capitol Raceway. He retired from Maryland Automobile Insurance Fund (MAIF).

Surviving in addition to his wife is son, John Dennis Turner, Jr. and wife Mary; daughter, Diane Rollossen; granddaughter, Lilly Rollossen; grandson, Russell Scherr; two great-granddaughters, Kyleigh Pack, Reagan Pack; great-grandson, Joshua Pack; stepson, Neal O'Donovan Aissa.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 28, 2018, 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm & 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm at Eline Funeral Home, 934 S. Main Street, Hampstead, MD. Services will be held on Thursday, March 1, 2018, 11:00 am at the Eline Funeral Home Hampstead, with Rev. Joe Cochran officiating. Interment will be private.
