Condolences

Condolence From: Judy Silvestri
Condolence: I was so saddened to hear of Matt’s untimely passing. He was so kind, helpful, respectful, and always ready with a quick smile. Throughout my nine years of teaching at FES, I could always count on Matt to bring some comic relief to my days with his sense of humor. Matt also loved talking about his children and grandchildren of whom he was so proud. He will be greatly missed by all of us. My sincerest thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

Condolence: Mr. Matt was one of the first people I met at Franklin Elementary. He was so welcoming and kind. Always ready to assist in anyway that he could. I never saw him have a bad day and he was always positive and upbeat. I also knew Jen his daughter from teaching ESY together. My deepest sympathies to Jen and all of his family. Heaven has gained a five star angel for sure!

Condolence: Matt was an absolute angel, a true gem. I have the privilege of working with him at Franklin from 1992-1994. I never met a kinder, more helpful and caring building chief. I taught music in the back of the cafeteria and Matt was always there to help at all times and he loved to listen to the children sing. I am so very sorry that he has left this earth, but his memory will always be very bright and warm. Deepest condolences to everyone who mourns his passing.

Condolence: Mr. Matt was one of a kind. I have never met anyone like him. He was quiet but with a wicked sense of humor and a twinkle in his eye. Matt was always willing to help and do whatever he could to finish any job. He worked with what he had and if he could not do it, no one could. He could work with anyone from administrators to kids with special needs, the youngest to the oldest. I always enjoyed talking with him in the mornings before school and know that he will be tremendously missed by everyone who knew him. He was a wonderful man taken from us too soon.

Condolence: Matt was always there when needed and willing to help with anything. He loved his John Deere tractors and would often post pictures on Facebook. He will be greatly missed and Franklin Elementary will never be the same without his warm smile and generous nature. God bless you, Matt.

Condolence: Mr. Matt, as he was fondly called at Franklin Elementary by both students and colleagues, was one of a kind. A man of faith and integrity, Mr. Matt was the "go-to guy" if anything needed to be fixed, changed, moved or ordered. Always quiet as he completed his work, he had a ready smile and story about his family. He simply adored his children and his grandchildren. I was so fortunate to work with him for many years at Franklin and to call him my friend. May you rest in eternal peace Mr. Matt.

Condolence: Mr. Matt as everyone knew him was a person no one will ever forget. He always spoke to adults as well as children. He was a friend to his children's friends. The children respected him. He will be missed but not forgotten. We will always have fond memories of this caring, polite wonderful man as his children will also.

Condolence: Mr Matt was a legend at Franklin Elementary and was one one of Olivia, Gabby, and Zach's favorite people at Franklin. Zach loved talking sports with him and the girls just loved talking to him. They were heartbroken, as we all were, to hear of his passing and will miss him terribly. I knew him as the father of one of my best teacher friends and he would always make time to ask me if Travis was behaving even though he already knew the answer. We are all sad but are here for you Travis.
