Charlotte Marie Murphy, 82, of Hampstead, passed away on Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at her daughter's home in Hampstead. Born December 16, 1934 in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of the late William and Barbara (Warns) Gremler. She was the wife of the late Matthew Vincent Murphy.

She was an active member of St. Bartholomew Catholic Church and loved animals.

Surviving are daughters, Dianne Hardesty of Delaware and Karen Tedder of Hampstead; and sons John Etzel of Manchester and Matthew J. Murphy of Texas; brother, William Gremler, Jr of Utah and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by sisters Dorothea Armstrong and Jacqueline Evering.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 19, 2017, 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm & 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm at ELINE FUNERAL HOME, 934 S. Main Street, Hampstead. A Requiem Mass will be celebrated on Monday, November 20, 2017, 11:00 am at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church, 2930 Hanover Pike, Manchester with Rev. Michael Roach officiating. Entombment will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
