Robert Eldon  Lange Sr.
Robert Eldon Lange, Sr., 75, of Hampstead, passed away Saturday November 11, 2017 in The Netherlands while on a river cruise vacation.
Born November 3, 1942 in Lincoln, NE, he was the son of the late Frederick John and Myrtle Mae Titus Lange. He was the husband of Annette Barbara Kapinos Lange, his wife of 51 years.
Mr. Lange was a retired postal worker and had been both a supervisor and a postmaster. Following retirement, he worked in the mail department of Carroll County Government. He attended Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Glyndon. He was a member of the Seniors in Action group in Westminster. He enjoyed reading, woodworking and world travel. He was a lifelong learner with interests in math and history, especially. In his later years, he became a cat lover and rescued a total of 12 stray cats.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are his son and daughter-in-law, Robert Eldon, Jr. and Linda Lange; granddaughter, Sophia Lange; grandson, Nicholas Eldon Lange, all of Hampstead; sister, Marjorie Jean Greene of Parkville; and brother, Marvin Lange of California. He was predeceased by a brother, Russell Leroy Lange.
Friends may call Sunday, November 26 from 3:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at ELINE FUNERAL HOME, 934 South Main Street, Hampstead, where a Christian Wake service will be held at 8:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Monday, November 27 at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, 65 Sacred Heart Lane, Glyndon. Interment will follow in All Saints' Cemetery.
