Obituary for Alden L. Holden

Alden L.  Holden
Alden L. Holden, 88, of Manchester, passed away on Monday, October 2, 2017 at the University of MD Medical Center. Born April 8, 1929 in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late Alden and Eula (Milburn) Holden. He was the husband of Dorothy Holden, his wife of 18 years.

He was a member of St. Bartholomew Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. Prior to retirement, he had worked at Armco Steel.

Surviving in addition to his wife is son, Richard L. Holden of Manchester; daughters, Dawn Marie Bounds of Granite, MD, Robin Ann Lowe of Greenmount, MD; sister, Regina Bush of MN and stepson Charles W. Atkinson. Also survived by 6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother, Leslie Holden.

Visitation will be held at ELINE FUNERAL HOME, 934 S. Main Street, Hampstead, MD on Sunday October 8, 2017 from 3-5 & 7-9 p.m. A Requiem Mass will be held on Monday, October 9, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Bartholomew Catholic Historic Church, 3071 Park Ave., Manchester, MD. Interment will be in Lake View Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to St. Jude's Childrens Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38101.
