George J. Horvath, Jr. 77, of Sykesville, MD passed away on August 3, 2017.Born August 18, 1939 in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late George and Dorothy (Winkler) Horvath and the devoted husband of Ann P. Horvath.

George worked 39 years as a Right of Way Agent for the Maryland State Highway Administration. He was a member of the Maryland, Carroll County and Baltimore County Historical and Genealogical Societies.
He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Gary Horvath and brother, Edward Horvath

He is survived by his beloved wife of 40 years, Ann P. Horvath; three daughters: Debbie Dowdle of Denton, NC, Sandra Horvath of Forest Hill, MD, Gail Horvath of Baltimore, MD; sister, Elizabeth Drumgoole of Essex, MD and a multitude of loving grandchildren & great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held Tuesday, August 8, 2017, from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm & 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Eline Funeral Home, 2901 Bloom Rd, Finksburg, MD. A service will be held on Wednesday, August 9, 2017, 11:00 am at the Funeral Home. Interment will be in Lake View Memorial Park.
