John Lee Shifflett, Sr., 59, of Hampstead, passed away on Sunday, April 30, 2017 at the Golden Living Center, Westminster. Born September 20, 1957 in Severn, MD, he was the son of the late Jack and Catherine (Potee) Shifflett. He was the beloved husband of Linda J. Shifflett, his wife of 30 years.

He enjoyed working on cars, motorcycles and tractor trailers. John also enjoyed being with his cat, Sam.

Surviving in addition to his wife is son, John L. Shifflett, Jr. of Glen Rock, PA; stepson, Donnie Steiner of PA; stepdaughter, Donna (Steiner) Scribner of TN; sisters, Marge Gehl of Los Altos, CA, Mary Cooper of Aberdeen, MD, Rhonda Kiler of Manchester, MD, Dawn Warner of East Berlin, PA, Susan Block of Hampstead, MD; sister-in-law, Doris Steiner; brother-in-law, John Steiner. Also survived by several grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

He was predeceased by sisters, Gloria Shifflett and Catherine Toston, brother Jack Shifflett and twin brother James Shifflett.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 2, 2017 from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. at ELINE FUNERAL HOME, 934 S. Main Street, Hampstead . Services and interment will be private for the family.
