Phillip Sheridan  Cougle Sr.
Phillip Sheridan Cougle, 72, of Hampstead, passed away Wednesday April 26, 2017 at Carroll Hospital Center in Westminster.

Born August 22, 1944 in Texas, MD, he was the son of the late Herbert Ellsworth and Idella Josephine Gover Cougle. He was the husband of Jeanette A. Krout Cougle.

He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, having served in the Army. He was a member of American Legion Post 200, Hampstead. He enjoyed collecting baseball hats, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren.

Surviving are daughter and son-in-law, Juanita "Kitten" and Chuck Jacobs of Reisterstown, MD; sons and daughter-in-law, Craig A. and Tamara Cougle of Hanover, PA and Phillip S. Cougle, Jr. of Hampstead,; brother and sister-in-law, Robert E., Sr. and Eleanor Cougle of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Nancy Lee Walton.

The family will receive friends Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. at Eline Funeral Home, 934 South Main Street, Hampstead. Interment will be in Stabler's Church Cemetery in Parkton, MD.
