Norman T. Pittinger, 87, of Boring, passed away Saturday August 27, 2016 at Long View Healthcare Center in Manchester.

Born July 24, 1929 near Uniontown, he was the son of the late Raymond Thomas and Ella Forney Pittinger. He was the husband of Jane G. Pittinger, his wife of 50 years.

He was a veteran of the Army, having served during the Korean War. Prior to retirement, he had worked in construction and was a truck driver. He enjoyed bluegrass and country music and spending time with his family.

Surviving are sons, Rob and Jeff Pittinger, both of Westminster; daughters and sons-in-law, Theresa and Jason Howard and Norma and Eddie Martin, all of Hampstead; grandson, Austin Martin and granddaughter, Gracie Ray Howard. He was predeceased by a son, Raymond Earle Pittinger.

The family will receive friends Wednesday August 31 from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Eline Funeral Home, 934 South Main Street, Hampstead. A private funeral service and interment will be held at Garrison Forest Veterans Cemetery, Owings Mills.
