Obituary for Harry Nathaniel Spicer

Harry N. Spicer, 77, of Upperco, MD, passed away on August 22, 2016 at the Dove House in Westminster, MD. Born September 22, 1938 in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late Reuben and Agnes (Karney) Spicer and the husband of Nancy Louise Spicer.

Harry worked at Gray & Son Construction in Butler, MD before opening his own business. Harry was owner and proprietor of Mail Bag Hobbies in Hampstead, MD. The shop was very popular with "Railroaders" and hobby enthusiasts for over 30 years. Harry had a natural talent for tinkering and fixing things. His family remembers him as the kind of man who never gave up on any task or challenge. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

In addition to his beloved wife, he is survived his son, Gene Spicer of Upperco, MD; daughter, Christina Jenkins of Gettysburg, PA; three granddaughters: Rhonda Jenkins-Davis, Nichole Meyers, Brandy Jenkins; great-granddaughter, Layna Meyers, and great-grandson, Camden Meyers.

A celebration of Harry's life will be held at a later date.
