Condolence: To the Paul family, I hope this message finds you well. I just learned of the passing of Rudi today, a year later and I am very saddened by the news. My name is Patrick Watson and I had the honor to work for Rudi at Caves for 6 summers. Not only was Rudi the best person I have ever worked for, he was one of the best people I have ever had the pleasure to know and be part of my life. Rudi was a role model for me, a mentor, and he made me a better person and prepared me for life. I was only 18 when I started working for Rudi and he was so inspiring and taught me so much about life and how to be successful, I owe him so much. Condolence: Dear Rose &Family, I am so sad to hear of the passing of Rudi. Rudi was one of the good guys, and belongs in the Hall of Fame of great restauranteurs. I am so glad that I had the opportunity to see and talk to him a few weeks ago. At that time he told me that his time to live was very short, an he was ready to pass on. Rose I am sorry that I will not be able to be with you on Saturday, as I am out of town, but I very much will be thinking of you. May his sole rest in peace.

Condolence: We were always so happy to greet Rudi whenever we dined at the Caves Valley Club. He was such a fine gentleman. We will miss him very much.

Condolence: I met Rudi when I started working at Caves Valley 5 years ago. He was the nicest, most sincere, honest and loving man. Condolence: We were so sad to hear of Rudi's passing. We have nothing but fond memories of him from Superbowl parties at Rob and Julia's, to pool parties at Rudi and Rose's beautiful home, to dinners at his restaurant in Finksburg. He had such a glowing personality and was a joy to be around. He has left behind a wonderful family, touched so many people, and was a true inspiration. You will be missed Rudi.

Condolence: To Rose , Laura and Julia, Ken and I were so sorry to hear about Rudi's passing. We have so many fond memories or him and wish we had known that he was so I'll. We surely would have come to see him. I know we lost touch after we moved to North Carolina but we still consider Rudi to be a good friend and a very important part of our lives. Condolence: I have so many wonderful and fond memories of Rudi. All of the wonderful events our family celebrated at Rudy's from births to deaths were spent with Rudi. he was a wonderful man and he will be sorely missed by the McCormicks and all the others whose life he impacted.

Condolence: I met Rudi at Caves Valley several years ago. He was part of the Caves Valley "experience". Professional, caring, sincere and genuine. He was happy to see you and you were happy to see him. His enthusiasm and smile was terrific. Rudi will be missed yet I know every time I think of him he will put a smile on my face. I was very lucky to have known such a really good guy!

Condolence: My wife and I had the great privilege of having Rudi take care of our rehearsal dinner for our wedding In 2005. Needless to say it was a beautiful and flawless event thanks to Rudi. He was a wonderful friend to my parents and to the entire Gloth family. Always with a warm smile and an uncanny ability to make each and every guest feel like they were the most special person in rhe room. So many fond family memories were made at the fabulous Rudi's 2900! We are all saddened by the loss of this beautiful and irreplaceable gem in our community.
