Obituary for William Cobey III

William Rennoe Cobey, III, 64, of Glen Rock, PA and formerly of Finksburg, died on Saturday, May 4, 2013 at the Dove House in Westminster, MD. Born April 10, 1949 in Washington, DC, he was the son of the late William R. Cobey II and Mary Ellen Arnold Cobey . He was the husband of Sandra Knopp Cobey, his wife of 41 years.

He served in the U.S. Navy from 1967-1971 and worked at the Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Lab for 22 years, prior to working for the Frederick County Public Schools as a network engineer. He was a member of the White Rose Motorcycle Club and enjoyed fishing, hunting and motorcycle riding.

Surviving in addition to his wife are sisters and brothers-in-law Judy and Ricardo Castillo of Deale, MD, and Patricia Murray of Westminster, Mary Knepp and Wayne Knepp of Odenton; and brothers Charles Cobey of Reisterstown and Kevin Cobey and his wife Grace Cobey of Westminster; nephews Daniel Durity of Baltimore, James Cobey of Woodbridge, VA and Kevin Cobey II of Westminster; nieces Yvonne Kemhus of Milwaukie, OR, Angela Bibb of Westminster, Lori Mauler of Westminster, Heather Hetrick of Taneytown, Amanda Scanlon of Falls Church and Kristine Cobey of Westminster; mother-in-law Catherine Knopp of Reisterstown, brothers-in-law and their wives Ronald & Gloria Knopp of Glen Rock, PA, Russell & Diane Knopp of Westminser and Wayne & Lois Knopp of Taneytown.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.
